Competition Guidelines

LOUTH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY COMPETITIONS


Conditions of Entry

All images and part thereof must be the original work of the Author. Only members with a currently paid up annual subscription are eligible to qualify for points or an award from a competition entry. Digital images submitted for competitions, or digital copies of prints may be retained for archive purposes and display within the Society. They may also be available for display on the website, or for sending to the press and for representing the Society in external competitions. Any use otherwise will require the permission of the author. Anybody unhappy with these arrangements must make this clear at the time of submission of their entry and must make arrangements with the Competition  Secretaries to ensure that the  images are deleted from the retained  file.
 
Entry Submissions

From the 1st May 2024, members can submit a maximum of 6 entries into Louth Photographic Society monthly, and annual  (POTY) (PDIOTY) competitions. Of the 6 entries one of these is to be designated as a reserve entry by the use of an "(R)" alongside the title when submitting a list of entries to the appropriate Competition Secretary.

Compliance 

All submitted digital images or prints are to be entered in accordance with the current "Members Information Booklet", (General Rules and Requirments) which can be accessed from the "Competition Guidelines" link at the top of this page. 

Finally

Competitions are where Members learn from each other, just submit the photographic work that you enjoy taking, have fun, and enjoy this wonderful hobby.
